SKLD Approach to the COVID-19 Vaccine

In anticipation of a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine, Illuminate HC, will coordinate with CVS or Walgreens for a smooth and swift distribution and vaccination process at each SKLD facility throughout Ohio and Michigan. 

We are closely monitoring guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Operation Warp Speed, State Department of Health and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the status of the vaccine.

Once the vaccine is authorized, all data on the vaccine will be thoroughly reviewed by Illuminate HC’s Clinical and Operational teams prior to distribution to any of our residents and team members. 

Based on the latest information, the first vaccines may be authorized for use in the U.S. in the next coming weeks.  SKLD facilities expect to receive shipments allocated by the state and federal government for our residents and team members.

At this time, we are not mandating the vaccine for either of these groups. 

Our goal is to provide accurate and complete information to assist each individual in making an informed decision regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
